When planning Deluded, it was pivotal to find a classic suburban residence that was homely and warm for the eye. All footage was shot on site, at a out team member's house - with the aim of pursuing our student film-making tendencies of "zero budget." Majority of footage was shot on a Canon 1DXII, with all dialogue and various sound effects recorded with a Rode VideoMicPro and Rode VideoMic. During production, it became apparent that fitting our whole planned story was not going to fit into 3 min, so it became vital to use sound and body language as major story telling devices. Rode mics were paramount in capturing not only obviously dialogue, but also the ambients of each scene.
